Spanx Footless HosieryMay 06, 2007
By B. Stewart I like the IDEA but I don't think they "held up" very well for the price paid. I purchased a nude and black pair and both "ran" the 1st time I wore them. I have hosiery that I paid less for that I have had for SEVERAL YEARS and washed them in lingerie bag in the washing machine that I have had to discard because the elastic finally started to give but they did not run. I would look for something similar at a lesser cost but would not order this brand again.

By Oregon Barkers Oh my goodness... I don't know what I would do without my Spanx! I will never wear a pair of work slacks without them.
A nice pair of trousers will have some polyester involved in it... well this stuff clings to bulges and panty lines. Spanx gets rid of VPL and smoothes out those little areas we don't like to mention. So fabrics that have a little more flow to them, will actually flow and not cling!
You will look more neat and tidy in your clothes and you might even look a few pounds lighter. They are so comfortable and because it is thin nylon material, you can wear them during the warm summer months.
Don't be fooled by imitations! Spanx brand is the only one you want when it comes to quality and doing what it promises!
I recommend the medium control even if you have a little bit of tummy to hide (it still works well on me). The super tends to be a little tighter so size up if you are going to get them.

I must echo the sentiment of the other reviewer who mentioned that she has gotten much more wear out of much cheaper brands. This is my second pair of Spanx - the first time I bought full pantyhose and they ran in the toe within 3 hours of my first wear, so I decided to try the footless and I got a run in the leg just putting them on for the first time! I am better off with cheaper control top hose and/or cheaper hose with separate control top panties. I really think that Spanx has become too popular and quality has gone out the window for the sake of mass production.

By S. Lambert I had a pair that lasted about a month. They did have nice tummy control. The first time I wore them I felt like I had lost 5 pounds. Too bad they are so pricey. There are cheaper brands out there I am going to try out. I won't pay $20 for nylons that last a only a few weeks.
