A Shipshape Shaper Indeed!Jul 14, 2010
By Film_Femme I don't often write reviews but I think this product isn't getting its proper due here. I usually only wear shapers with something form fitting on a special event, but I was intrigued by this product's claim to burn more calories with its built-in resistance bands. I'm a month and a half into my daily use of the high waist to knee ShaToBu and the changes are remarkable! Let me say upfront that shapers are no replacement for the hard sweating exercise required to truly shape one's body, but this is a product that actually rewards your efforts. I walk daily, do Pilates, cardio and eat well more than I do poorly -- pre ShaToBu I was losing about two pounds per week, post ShaToBu I'm losing three, sometimes four. I've never paid much attention to my [ahem] rear assets before, but after the fourth compliment on my tushie inside of three weeks I have to think maybe there's something to this ShaToBu thing after all! If you're just looking for a shaper to wear under your little black dress I'm sure this'd work fine, but the magic of this shaper is the extra burn it brings to your average daily movements. You do have to read the instructions carefully and make sure you're picking the right size, have the product in the proper position and are using it for the recommended activities. I'm a serious cynic when it comes to new product hype but for me, the ShaToBu definitely delivers!

By Heather I thought ShaToBu was worth a try. If I didn't burn extra calories at least I might get some smoothing. I was wrong!!
If you are looking for smoothing spend your money on Spanx (aprox. same price). ShaToBu ripples at the thick seams. (I double checked the sizing chart to make sure I have the correct size.) ShaToBu snags like a pair of $5 pantyhose, poor quality.
If you want toning and shaping do a couple of extra squats or run a little longer. I exercise regularly and my cellulite looks about the same. ShaToBu claims to burn an extra 12% of calories. If you run a mile that's only an extra 211 yards. If you walk for 30 minutes that's only an extra 4 minutes.
In the future I'll save my money and work a little bit harder!

By theresa johns I am very happy with this product. It smoothes a few bulges and I wear it when I am working. It is a little difficult to put on but I figure that is part of the workout. I do not wear it when it is 100 degrees outside. If I do not lose all the weight I want I will be wearing it under my Mother of the Bride dress.

By Karen D'Iorio I ignored the reviews that stated this item was just like a pair of pantyhose. I should not have. The first time I tried to put them on, the leg got snagged on my nail and ran just like pantyhose. For $58 you would think the material would be a bit stronger. Don't waste your money

By star Hello everyone!!! If you only THINK about buying this,please do NOT EVEN think about it!! Not ONLY it does NOT do ANYTHING ( except for what regular cheap sleepwear from Walmart do) But It is also does not stay and keeps rolling down from the waist! It is VERY uncomfortable!!And if you need to go to the bathroom it would take you10 minutes to pull them down and to put them back up! THEY are HOT!!!! For summer time this is no way you cab wear them! As for loosing weight and making it is a Big LIE! But Not only that!!! Their customer service is AWFULLEST!! I paid 58 dollars and after receiving it i had returned the same very day with all the paperwork and in the original package like they demand!!! It was about a month ago and i have NEVER get my money back!!! When i called them and asked about it, they said "We received NOTHING" I was shocked because i had kept the receipt from the post office and i told this to the person talking to me, which she said " You paid for SENDING it here, but we never received nothing, and because we did not receive nothing we can not refund your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" So 58 dollars i have just tossed into the garbage!!! Do Not deal with them!! Do not buy it!!!
