Disappointed!Jan 13, 2010 So disappointed in this cami!!! It's tight in the chest and flattens me a little (even though it says there is no compression in the chest). And it's not that tight around the belly - it only flattens my belly a bit but not 100%. Also, I am 5'11 and the cami only goes down to my upper hips. It rides up especially when I sit down or move around too much. I am constantly pulling it down. I don't plan on wearing it anymore - so uncomfortable and doesn't help that much! If it made me look incredible then I could deal with being uncomfortable and constantly pulling the cami down.

Comfortable--too bad it rolls up!Mar 05, 2009 I purchased the underwire version of this camisole, and chose a size (medium) that, according to manufacturer sizing charts, was supposed to fit. My understanding about garments is that if they ride up or curl down, they're too small. Spanx' error in this regard is really inexcusable, given the price of their items. I can't recommend this item, even if you were to buy a larger size than you think you need, because I don't know if that would prevent the roll-up problem. I have found that even wearing a Spanx shaper underneath is no guarantee--in fact, the top of the pants rolled DOWN even while the camisole was rolling UP!

Pretty good, but not a miracle worker.Feb 25, 2009 I like this cami because it makes me feel supported, especially under clothes that are not so forgiving. It doesn't magically give me a six-pack, but I'm held in well enough to feel pretty confident. If you decide to buy it, have realistic expectations. And if you have big "girls", wear a bra with it.

Very Good Tummy Shaper (Does NOT Flatten Chest if worn with a real bra!!)Feb 10, 2009 My stats... 5'1", 38-40 C cup bra, about a size 1x in normal clothes. My issue is the above the waist "tummy pooch"
I have been looking for a "shaper item" to not flatten, but rather to just "suck in" my upper (above the waist) tummy area for a smoother look under clothes. I was concerned that this camisole would have the very bad effect of flattening my chest... it does NOT!! I wore this with a bra. It comes with a built-in bra but im a 38-40 C cup and yeah thats insufficient for me in the bra department. It seems to me that if you wear this with a real bra, you will be good to go. The fabric in the bra area is not super tight, but it is fitted. The tummy area is tight enough to "suck-in" and smooth a poochy tummy... but not SO tight that you cant breath... its comfortable AND controlling. This is going to be good for EVERYDAY use not the kind of power shaper for say a wedding or super special event. just enough to smooth for everyday wear and comfort.
I was concerned about the flattening the chest aspect, I read MANY revies before purchasing.... I believe that when women said it flattened the chest they must have been wearing it without a normal bra. I hope this clears up the confusion I had before buying.
Also I normally wear about a size 1X top and I got mine in an XL... this item does seem to run a little large so I would say to go down 1 size.
Overall... WONDERFUL everyday smoothing camisole!! The cheaper ones at say Kohls or Sears aren't as good... this one is pricey for an undershirt, but with this one you ARE getting what you pay for. (I love it!!) :D
